Indeed, this is my old friend and it has mellowed with age but still has that "oomph" that only the Balkan Sobranie White has. There was lots of relighting. Without question this was the most anticipated tin I have ever opened. Tin appearance of black, dark brown and medium dark leaf comprise this magical blend. The virginias appear to be aged nicely. I was young and callous and therefore felt that this blend was very harsh. . With the history and price tag/availability of this blend came concerns it could be a bit of a letdown but those were swiftly erased almost immediately after lighting my first bowl of Balkan Sobranie. The tinned version (c. 20 years ago) had for me an almost mystical, incense-like quality, very powerful, that somehow induced a trance like state. Specifically, the yenidje!
